Awards: The Giller Prize
The Award

Founded in 1994, Canada's Giller Prize is a tribute by Montreal real estate businessman Jack Rabinovich to his late wife, Doris Giller. Doris Giller was a prominent figure in the Canadian literary community, working as a reporter and editor at three major daily newspapers prior to her death in 1993. The prize is awarded to the best English-language Canadian novel or short story collection published each year.

The Prize

Each year, the winner of the Giller Prize receives $25,000 (Canadian).
