About the Author

Ron Shandler is a recognized pioneer in baseball analysis and fantasy baseball strategy. He launched the Baseball Forecaster annual in 1986 and founded BaseballHQ.com in 1996, bringing sabermetrics into mainstream fantasy play. His innovative frameworks—including the LIMA Plan, Mayberry Method, and the Broad Assessment Balance Sheet (BABS)—have become staples for fantasy competitors. Ron spearheaded the creation of the Tout Wars experts league, featured in the book and film Fantasyland, and served as an advisor to the St. Louis Cardinals during their 2004 pennant-winning season. His work has appeared in USA Today, ESPN.com, The Athletic, and more. A multiple-time national experts league champion, Ron has earned the FSGA Lifetime Achievement Award, the Matthew Berry Game-Changer Award, and induction into the FSWA Hall of Fame. His memoir, Fantasy Expert, chronicles his journey through the game. He continues to share new ideas at RonShandler.com
