About the Author

Manuel Millán Sánchez was born in the town of San Fernando, Cádiz, Spain. An Engineer by profession, he has devoted his career to energy, initially in the engineering and consulting sector before moving into international cooperation. This journey has taken him to live on four continents and work in more than fifty countries, always in the field of energy. For over a decade, he has worked as an energy specialist at the World Bank and as a professor of energy technologies at Johns Hopkins University.
