About the Author

Lesa Ní Mhunghaile was educated at the National University of Ireland, Galway, and the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität, Bonn, Germany. She worked as a video journalist (iriseoir físe) with Nuacht TG4 from 1996 until 2001 and was a post-doctoral research fellow in the Moore Institute, NUI, Galway, between 2001 and 2004 where she was employed on the Ascendancy and the Gaelic World Project. In 2004 she established the B.Ed. in Home Economics and Irish degree in St. Angela’s College, Sligo. Between 2005 and 2013, Lesa lectured in the Department of Irish at Mary Immaculate College, University of Limerick. She is now working at the Department of Irish at NUI-Galway, but continues to be collaborate with the ECRG at UL/MIC
