James Howe is an American writer of juvenile and young adult fiction books. He is known best for the Bunnicula book series about the eponymous vampire pet rabbit that sucks the juice out of vegetables and other pets in the household. The first book in the series won more than ten Children's Choice awards. Howe also wrote two young adult novels, The Watcher and The Misfits, along with many other books for children of all ages.
