Dame Jane Morris Goodall (1934-2025) was a British primatologist, ethologist, anthropologist, and author who was known for her decades of research at Gombe National Park in Tanzania that provided an in-depth understanding of chimpanzee behavior. The subject of numerous documentaries and articles, Goodall reached millions around the world through her writings, podcasts, and lectures. She is the author of many books, including two autobiographies in letters, Africa in My Blood and Beyond Innocence. She was appointed a UN Messenger of Peace, named a Dame of the British Empire, and received countless honors around the world.
