Lily King’s breakout fourth novel, Euphoria, inspired by the life of the anthropologist Margaret Mead, was named one of the top 10 books of 2014 by The New York Times. It was also a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award and the winner of the New England Book Award for Fiction. King’s other prizes include the Raymond Carver Prize for fiction, which she was awarded by Syracuse University. She has taught English and creative writing at several universities.
