Glory of Groveling: Apology - A Simple Path to More Freedom and Happiness
“Apology gives us the authority to determine our own future, free of the fear, resentment, and guilt we feel from broken relationships. It makes us people of our word, people who can be trusted, people who are ready for real love.”

In Glory of Groveling, authors Michael Waldman and Jason Feddy deliver a refreshingly honest, surprisingly practical, and often humorous guide to personal liberation through the art of apology and forgiveness. With their signature blend of insight and irreverence, they offer a six-and-a-half step program designed to help readers drop their pride, own their mistakes, and find emotional freedom.

This is not your average self-help book. Waldman and Feddy take aim at the ego’s favorite defense mechanisms—deflection, denial, blame—and replace them with simple, actionable tools to repair relationships and release resentment. Whether you’re navigating a rocky marriage, tense work dynamic, or the silent guilt of past missteps, Glory of Groveling invites you to rethink strength, rediscover humility, and learn the surprising joy of making things right.

With real-life stories, accessible exercises, and just the right amount of sass, this book is a must-read for anyone ready to trade defensiveness for connection and bitterness for peace.

About the Author

Jason Feddy is a British American musician, songwriter, radio personality, and teacher. As a songwriter, Jason has made eight albums of original songs, and his music has been featured on soundtracks for several movies. Jason wrote the songs, performed in, and was musical director for the off-Broadway show Two’s A Crowd, exhibiting what the New York Times called “rumpled charm.” He is also a Cantor/Soloist for the Jewish Collaborative of Orange County. A former heroin addict, Jason has participated in a 12-Step program since 2000. He currently lives in California with his wife, Ava, and their dog, Barklee.

Michael Waldman has spent his professional life as a teacher, thought leader, entrepreneur, and business consultant focused on leadership, performance, and personal satisfaction. Michael was a founding partner of two global management consulting companies. He was a founding board member of the Somaly Mam Foundation, an anti-human-trafficking non-profit organization. His love for music has led to appearances in films about Cream and Bruce Springsteen; and his photographs have appeared in work by Steven Van Zandt. Michael lives in Laguna Beach with his wife Cindy and enjoys time with their son and daughter-in-law.
