Style & Strategy: For Powerful Writing & Speaking
Style & Strategy is an all-in-one theory and practice resource for composing language-based materials in the 21st century. It covers accurate, clear, and versatile writing; solid argumentation; and engaging oral-visual presentations, drawing from wisdom through the ages. It's useful for today's writers, editors, and orators at all levels and in all roles. Strategically craft powerful messages that better resonate with your intended audiences.

• Twenty-two points on accuracy help you master English syntax. Today's most common errors are covered in short presentations with ample exercises and quizzes.
• Six points on strategy for sentence manipulation begin to build your collection of compositional tools for impact. These sections give you all of the syntactic and semantic force you need to build powerful strategic messages with accuracy and clarity.
• All styles of writing are not the same, and the capacity to produce genre-appropriate work fluidly meets the varying needs of writers in today's complex communication environment. So, tools of rhetoric deliver even more firepower in your fingertips. Analyses of models in eighteen writing styles provide deep insight to their compositional characteristics and give you all of the information you need to emulate each style. Types of vocabulary and sentence structure are examined in:
Academic writing, Analytical writing, Blog, Business writing, Copywriting, Creative writing, Descriptive writing, Expository writing, Journalistic writing, Narrative writing, Oral presentation script, Personal writing, Persuasive writing, Review writing, Script writing (play or screenplay), Summary, Technical writing, Travel writing
• Next, Aristotle's wisdom of logos, ethos, and pathos shed light on writing in the genres from a very different perspective and provide deeper insights to empower all of your compositions in all writing styles.
• With the broad concepts in place, we next detail some essential structures. A full discussion of essential elements for argument structure helps ensure your arguments are as persuasive as you want them to be.
• To make your off-page messages land with the impact you want, a discussion of narrative elements and delivery tips for oral presentations empowers you with all you need.
• Finally, because our written work today often demands an oral-visual presentation, the book culminates with a full discussion of best practices for visual communication, specifically slide deck construction and delivery for optimal audience engagement and impact.

As you can see, it's all here. This is a comprehensive style kit for all of your strategic communication needs. And it's all presented in short, simple explanations.
