Overview

Sometimes you have to believe you're stronger and smarter than you think!

Like the famous frog, Kevin "Kermit" Greene's life isn't easy. The biggest bully in Middle School is demanding a fight with him. And being the quiet one in a loud, boisterous family, he's often overlooked.

His whole world changes when two tiny, human-like creatures, appear before him. Thinking they're just annoying bugs, Kermit tries to brush them away and then realizes they're real. They tell him they're from a planet called Celabar and are seeking a green hermit who's been talked about in their history as the Earth creature who will save their kingdom from being destroyed. It takes them all a while to realize it's actually Kermit Greene they're looking for. Kermit agrees to travel with them back to their planet. Why not? His world is pretty miserable and he's never been chosen for anything.

On Celabar, Kermit is the hero he's always wanted to be. But to be worthy of the praise he receives, he must come up with a plan to get rid of the giant bird the evil Devastators are using to control the people of Celabar so they can steal the hidden gold beneath the surface.

Be sure to read The Hidden Moon series by J. S. Keim. The Hidden Moon, Return to the Hidden Moon, and Trouble on the Hidden Moon tell of the adventures of three boys who magically travel to a moon in outer space and how they and their two new moon friends, Nidar and Karna, work together to save the People of Light.

About the Author

J.S. Keim (Judith Keim) was born and raised in Elmira, New York, and now makes her home in Idaho with her husband and long-haired dachshund, Winston. Growing up, books were always present - being read, ready to go back to the library or about to be discovered. Information from the books was shared in general conversation, giving all of us in the family a wealth of knowledge. Perhaps that is why I was drawn to the idea of writing stories early on. I particularly love to write novels about kids who have interesting, fun, exciting experiences with creatures real and fantastical and characters that learn to see the world in a different way. If you've enjoyed this story, check out these - The Hidden Moon, An Unexpected Adventure in Outerspace and the follow-up book, Return to Anron. Join Jack Coughlin, his younger brother Collin and their friend Danny on their exciting adventures on Anron, a hidden moon in outer space. Anron is unlike anything they've ever seen and nothing is what it seems in a place where what looks like pears on trees unfold into flying dragons that carry them into battle. Some of the green creatures even have the gift of changing into other shapes. Fun, fantasy stories for middle-grade boys and girls!
