Ever since Universal and Focus Features pictures forked over an estimated $3 million for screen rights to E.L. James’s erotic bestseller 50 Shades of Grey, casting rumors for the NC-17 film have been rampant. So it’s just our luck that after Mila Kunis coyly squashed rumors of being cast as young, dark protagonist Anastasia Steele, a new contender—however unintentionally—has emerged: the lovely Kate Moss.
In an effort to raise money for the charity Children In Need, the infamous supermodel appeared on Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw’s show this morning. As Grimshaw explained, once callers donated £200,000, Moss would read an excerpt from Fifty Shades of Grey. And lucky for both the children in need and Kate Moss fans, read she did.
After shyly admitting she was nervous, Moss dove into the text like a professional, only slightly laughing at the mention of “socks.” Her performance even inspired audience members to bark like dogs. Could she have caught the eye of a movie executive? See for yourself in the clip below:
