About the Author

Alfred F. Carlozzi, EdD is a professor of counseling and counseling psychology at Oklahoma State University and director of the OSU-Tulsa Counseling Center. Dr. Carlozzi is licensed as a psychologist and marital and family therapist in Oklahoma and has maintained a part-time private practice for many years, providing psychological services to transgender and gender diverse clients and their families.

Kurt T. Choate, PhD is an associate professor and department chair of psychology and counseling at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Dr. Choate is a licensed psychologist, school counselor, and school psychologist for the state of Oklahoma, and has been providing mental health services for the LGBTQ+ community at the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
