About the Author

Jennifer McCallum holds an M.A. in music composition, and has a portfolio of chamber and choral works, as well as dance choreography. Following her degree, she pursued feminist studies. Her writing has been featured in the Globe and Mail. Dr. John Bird, scientist and journalist, taught at several universities. He trained with USAF fighter pilots before breaking the altitude record for hang gliding and trained with the NASA astronauts underwater and in zero-g aircraft. He is the author of The Upper Atmosphere, published by NASA.
