Alannah Hopkin is a full-time writer and has lived in Kinsale since 1982. She combines writing fiction, travel and guidebooks with arts journalism. She reviews books regularly for the Irish Examiner, and also writes for the Irish Arts Review. Her latest book is Eating Scenery – West Cork, the People and the Place (2008).
Kathy Bunney has had a lifelong love of the sea, to which she has now added a passion for local history. Following a career in financial services, she remained at home to raise her children before returning to full-time education. She lives with her partner and six sons on the outskirts of Cork city.
