The Pact: Our Journey Home
Alyssa's Perspective - There were four of us; we were the best of friends. We made a pact-we would be there to hold each other up. Always. We cared so much for each other, yet we made so many mistakes. We broke each other's hearts and our promises. We nearly lost everything. We loved and our hearts longed, longed for what we had and let slip away; for what we hoped we'd find just once, love. Our hurt, heartbreak and tragedies led our hearts down separate roads. Had we drifted too far to ever find our way back? Did we shatter like glass when the burden of life's trials weighed heavily down upon our shaky shoulders? Did we let the pain within our hearts tarnish and overcome the possibility of finding love again? No. We didn't. We remembered. Remembered what a very long time ago mattered the most: each other. We found our way-home. Book Summary: Tragedy hits the humble and loving little community of Oakland Oklahoma and with the quick, heart-gripping blow, lives are shattered and spirits are left broken. Families are left feeling lost. Childhood friends are abandoned and forgotten. But love remains, clinging to the hearts of those who've all unintentionally lost their way. Through the struggles of lifelong regrets, unthinkable deceit, broken promises and grief, family, friends and long lost lovers will attempt to mend the pieces of their lives back together again. Their journey for wholeness and a second chance can lead them back to the place where it all began; a place each of them once called their home. But if the trails prove too tough and the wiping wind of life's storm is too strong, they all could very easily lose everything-including each other.

About the Author

Josh Wyatt, a 23-year-old, former multi award-winning, student human interest reporter, wildly published Inspirational columnist and best-selling author [under a different pen name] writes romantic, deeply emotional family dramas about love, loss and the power of a second chance. He currently resides in a small, little country town near Arkansas, much like the ones he paints pictures of with words in his love stories.

Josh is committed to crafting the best book he can for each and every one of his reader friends. In every novella, after the last black and white page is turned, he hopes his "friends" walk away feeling they've learned a lesson or remembered something about love and life that they had unintentionally forgotten.

In his free time, he enjoys a good, well-written YA romance by John Green or a wonderfully told story on film with just the right amount of heart by Josh Boone.
