The Vampire Clan
Draven knew that meeting Darcy would change his life! He fell desperately in love with
her.

The introduction of a mortal into the Toreador Clan, and more importantly into the Arikeland
family, was going to spell big trouble. His father Acheron strongly disapproved but
his sister Imperia and brother Drakkar posed a more dangerous situation.

While dealing with family issues, Draven encounted treachery and deceit among those
he trusted!

First, his uncle Thorne, who tainted his vampiric blood with heroin, became weak and
subject to manipulation by the local mafia figure, Don Chessia. He attempted to take
over the Arikeland family Corporation and insinuate himself in the casino complex that it
was constructing out in the Boston Harbor islands.

In addition, his wife Darcy, the only woman he loved, violated the sanctity of their marriage
and engaged in an affair with a neighbor.

Tied up in all this was Dravenʼs blood donor of 20 years, Elliot Jackson, who just happened
to be the current mayor for the city of Boston, who betrayed his benefactor.

As the story unfolds it is replete with complicated twists and turns and an unexpected
ending.

About the Author

Dave N. Port (Portava) began his life in the small town of Brezoi, located in the Transylvanian
Alps, at an elevation of 1040 feet.
His early childhood memories in this Balkan town of 6,000 plus people, were filled with
vampiric activity.
Various members of his extended family were known to enjoy the taste of fresh human
blood and Portava himself sampled it for what first time on a family outing, when a
childhood friend allowed him to inflict a bite on his neck and suck on the blood. He accepted
the dare and enjoyed it.
Later, Portava attended the prestigious “Academia de Studii Economice din Bucuresti”,
in the capital of his country, where he earned a Bachelors, then Masters degree in
ʻcommunication and media studiesʼ.
Emigrating to the United States, he taught ʻ Developmental Studiesʼ at the University of
Southern California for ten years until he began his career as a writer.
He currently resides in suburban Boston, continuing to write about social observations
and life in the underbelly of society. He can further be observed, if one is noticing, chasing
that elusive ʻ couple of ouncesʼ of human blood.
Portava would contend that he is just “doing research”!
He can be reached by contacting him on Facebook and Twitter, and, of course, understand
this writer more fully by reading “The Vampire Clan” by Dave N. Port
