Murder as the Organist Plays
Bridal procession to murder!
Bridal march to murder! The beautiful bride emerges, her stunning face almost eclipsing the contrasting bloodstains on her gown. Then as the organist begins the wedding march, the bride automatically starts her long processional to the arms of her groom. She will not finish the journey.
Moments before, guests at the high society political power wedding were happily anticipating this celebrated bride coming down the steps with her illustrious father. But when the organist plays the wedding music the distinguished senator fails to appear at his daughter's side. The bride stands alone, blood dripping from a dagger at her fingertips.
Unseeing, his back to this scenario, the organist plays on...
Murder has shattered the wedding day and the political socialite hailed as the new Princess Alice goes from bride to victim to suspect in a matter of hours.
From a potential 1904 presidential candidate the senator has entered into oblivion, his daughter, Elicia, now faces a noose or an asylum.
The talented Elicia was so lovely, so smart, so rich and so privileged, something had to be wrong with her, rumor had always said. Now the public waited to tear her apart, sympathy for her is faint, even from her sister and fiance.
Only one man, flamboyant and mysterious, stands between Elicia and the noose or an asylum.
Elicia has little choice but to accept him as her champion.
Is Elicia an insane narcissist? A selfish cold and heartless woman? Or is there a possibility of redemption for the self centered heiress who may possess a sharper mind and more talents than anyone knows?
Or is there someone else behind the scenes so compelling that she will be drawn to evil and forfeit her soul to escape death?
Who is the killer and will more have to die?
Determining factors in this equation include-
A master musician celebrated all over the world, thought dead, but his presence is felt strongly...
A mansion with odd architecture built to hide the truth within its walls...
A bitter lonely woman who can never match her sister in any respect...
A devoted wife who sends her husband into harm's way, knowing only God can protect him...
A long dead beauty whose demise may have started it all...
A priceless tiara sought by government officials, family and thieves...
A skilled attorney whose weakness may be fatal either to his lover or himself...
A painting of extraordinary skill that has more than a normal impact on those who view it...
A man upon whose ability to endure hardships and resist temptations is vital to them all...
A heinous secret from the previous century that fueled revenge for decades to come...
Now, in the era of new life changing inventions, as man takes flight, the past comes to a boiling point that explodes in murder!
Turn of the century East Texas is the picturesque setting for this old fashioned mystery thriller with historical aspects. The roller coaster plot takes the reader on an exciting journey of mystery, love and suspense with a completely twisted ending.
