About the Author

Eric Randolph Marshall is a veteran public school administrator with twenty-two years of educational experience in two large urban school districts.
He started his career as a middle school special education teacher of the emotionally handicapped and went on to become an Assistant Principal and Principal at the elementary, K-8, traditional middle school and high school levels. Eric has also experienced working in Title I/high poverty schools, "non-high poverty schools," as well as magnet and small schools programs. In addition, Eric has had the privilege of working at schools with large concentrations of English Second Language (ESL), Exceptional Education students and "Students at Risk."
Eric has a Bachelors Degree (BA) in Political Science from Hampton University, Hampton Virginia, a Masters Degree (MS) in the Emotionally Handicapped from Nova Southeastern University and an Educational Specialist Degree (Ed.S) in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale Florida.
Eric is married to Charmaine Marshall who has also been a teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal and District (ESL) administrator.
They have two sons, Evan, a high school student and Chase,a middle school student.
In addition, he is an accomplished private pilot for over 20 years,has owned two aircraft, a 1974 Cessna 182-P and a 1992 Mooney 201 Special Edition, and is actively involved in the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (A.O.P.A.).
Eric Marshall is currently an education consultant available for individual
and group consultation and training for new Principals in Title I and high poverty schools. He specializes in training new Title I Principals in all areas which encompass school management, adaptation, effective organizational techniques and professional development that enables newly appointed principals to be highly successful in their transition into Title I School Leadership.
