About the Author

Dr. Li Xiangning is associate dean and full professor in history, theory and criticism at the College of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University. He is a member of International Committee of Architecture Critics (CICA); has worked as curator for numerous exhibitions; and his work about contemporary Chinese architecture and urbanism has been published widely. He is chief editor of Architecture China and President of Architecture China Foundation. He also works with international museums and institutes and has been a jury member for many international awards and competitions.
