As an island boy, Davis Hitching’s life is the picture of normalcy. His adoptive parents know that he’s different than other children, they just refuse to see just how different he is.

When Davis is recruited early into the top scientific school in the country he finds an unlikely ally in a small girl with a bad attitude named Stormy Winters. His friendship with her separates him from Crystal.

Davis is devastated to learn that Crystal is dating other boys at home, he’s sure he’s lost her forever.

When Davis and Stormy are attacked on New Year’s Eve it becomes clear that Davis isn’t human at all. Stormy takes him into her world where he learns that his biological parents were on a mission to save the Gamin Worlds.
