About the Author

Leslie Godfrey began her life as a desert-dweller. She grew up in Tooele, Utah and built a legal career in Las Vegas, Nevada. Drawn to an adventure at sea anyway, in 2016 she and her husband cast off the dock lines to their Valiant 40 sailboat, Sonrisa, to sail the world. Pointing the bow westward, they sailed from San Diego, California, USA on a bid to cross all three oceans and visit as many countries as possible along the way. Leslie is fascinated by the pursuit of goals that take hold of unlikely dreamers and push one to grow beyond the expected path for their lives. You can generally find her "somewhere at sea" following wherever her odd-heart leads. She publishes a blog of her sailing adventures at www.oddgodfrey.com, and she is found on Facebook and Instagram @Oddgodfrey.

Becky Graff graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Art Teaching in 2019. She is an eclectic artist who enjoys completing art projects using varied styles and disciplines. From drawing and painting to gathering twigs and leaves that have fallen to the ground and been stepped on by various animals and then reworking and structuring those into beautiful designs, Becky obsesses over crafting and art projects at all times. She can often be found gaining artistic inspiration while standing dreamily outdoors at night and peering into the depths of the ever-expanding cosmos of twinkling stars. She currently resides in Salem, Oregon beneath tall Douglas firs and a screeching baby red-tailed hawk.
