About the Author

Mary Biancalana, MS, CMTPT, LMT, CPT, is founder and owner of the Chicago Center for Myofascial Pain Relief. She is a board-certified myofascial trigger point therapist and licensed massage therapist who has specialized in treating and eliminating chronic and acute soft tissue pain since 1999. She has excelled in dynamic fitness, self-care, and wellness education since 1986. Ms. Biancalana has taught thousands of massage therapists and healthcare providers advanced treatment techniques and the science behind muscle-related problems and myofascial pain syndromes, such as fibromyalgia. She has authored a book and articles on trigger point pain relief.
