About the Author

Michael A. Beauregard has served as a parochial school teacher and administrator and contributes articles supporting the classical curriculum model. His postdoctoral research has been in the field of Roman and Medieval history, particularly the transition from the late Roman period to the High Middle Ages and into the early Renaissance. As a native son of West Memphis, he remembers fondly the recounting of a bygone era from earlier generations of West Memphians.
