About the Author

Michael P. Gadomski is a native of Wayne County, Pennsylvania, in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains. In addition to working as a Pennsylvania State Park ranger and naturalist for over 25 years, he has been a free-lance photographer and writer for nearly 40 years. His written articles have appeared in magazines such as the New York State Conservationist, Ranger Rick, Highlights for Children and others. His photography has been published worldwide in books, magazines, calendars, greeting cards, interpretive displays, and as fine art. He is also the photographer of two previously published books, Wild Pennsylvania: A Celebration of Our State's Natural Beauty and Philadelphia: Portrait of a City. He is presently working on another book celebrating the natural landscape of Pennsylvania.
