About the Author

Ricardo St. Michael Jolly is a Jamaican-American poet, song writer, and blossoming author. His lyrical poems have been featured in Florida Memorial University newspaper, and the Korean Times and Korean Journal newspapers, in Georgia. In 1985, he wrote and produced his first song, "Ghetto Tears," which was manufactured and distributed by Tuff Gong Recording in Kingston, Jamaica, a company founded by Reggae superstar the Hon. Robert Nesta Marley, O.M.; known worldwide as Bob Marley.
Ricardo lives is a small city in Georgia that provides for him the peace and tranquility to write. He is a member of the Private Poetry Unveil Group, in Gwinnett, Georgia, and The ConneXus Writer’s Group at Mount Paran Church of God, in Atlanta, Georgia. He is also a proud volunteer in Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), which is a partner with Citizen Corps and US Homeland Security’s FEMA.
He has one sister, Donna, who was born in Bermuda, and three brothers, Adrian, Simon and Omar, who were born in the United Kingdom. Ricardo was born on the beautiful Caribbean island of Jamaica. The cultural diversity in his family leads Ricardo to travel and experience various cultures, such as United Kingdom, South Korea, Thailand, Laos, and the Philippines. He holds a Master’s Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language, and attended Florida Memorial University, Kennesaw State University, and Regent University.
Ricardo’s upcoming works include some of his poems to be featured in a poetry book for adults, titled "Eggshells of the Soul." The book is a compilation of poems by six poets, who are members of the Private Poetry Unveil Group. Ricardo is also busy developing ideas for the continuation of the Tiddly Wind story, and writing songs.
