About the Author

Nelson Bloncourt was inspired to write this book by the real Fanny and Frankie, and his love of everything French! He has worked as a fashion stylist, a photography agent, and is currently a creative director and consultant. His first picture book Fanny, the Flying French Bulldog was received with a rave review from Booklist: "Bloncourt pulls it off with panache. The story is engrossing and its ending satisfying." Bloncourt lives in the hills of San Francisco, California. Nikita Polyansky grew up in Russia and began his artistic studies at age eight and has been drawing and designing ever since—from Broadway shows and operas to Saks Fifth Avenue’s famous Christmas window displays to an amusement park attraction in Japan. Nowadays, Polyansky works in entertainment and set design in New York City. He lives in New Jersey with his family.

NELSON BLONCOURT was inspired to write this book by the real Fanny, his companion of eight years. He says, “Every person’s dog is the best and the most special to them. But Fanny has been so exposed to the public in this city [San Francisco], that hundreds of people know her by name. That in itself makes her soar.” Nelson has worked as a fashion stylist and a photography curator, and is currently a creative director and consultant. He lives in the hills of San Francisco, California.
