McCaid Paul developed a love for writing in the first grade when he learned to journal daily. He is the author of four middle-grade thriller novels and Mooch & Marlow, which is his first picture book. Three of his poems and a personal essay were published in the 2022 literature journal, Blackwater Review, of Northwest Florida State College. Avery Joyner is a self-taught artist who cultivated a love for drawing at an early age. In her free time, she enjoys practicing piano, water sports, and playing tennis.
