This novel is a geopolitical adventure story. Sean Ashton, a Special Branch Officer is sent to observe a new political party 'The Millennium Party' which is making waves in England.

On Astons first contact with the new party he is exposed to the electrifying oratory of Robin Murry the new party leader. Ashton immediately becomes a convert.

Ashton joins the Party ostensibly to report to his Special Branch masters but continuous exposure to Robin Murry means his loyalties soon lie entirely with the Party.

Ashton leaves the Special Branch and quickly becomes Murry's right hand man, working in a party that seems to be delivering the people's choice.

The background is set against a new and desperately deep world recession. Massive unemployment and dissatisfaction with the old Party's mean that the Millennium party grows exponentially.
