Fall seems to gently coax us inside to enjoy the pleasures of our homes. The wind picks up, leaves turn their autumnal colors, and the air takes on a crisp flavor, mandating the addition of a sweater or jacket if we step outside. But inside, where it's cozy and warm, holds the promise of languorous afternoons curled up with a good book, fully transported to the world of another's imagination.

This fall, as every season of the year, the Discover reading group has mined the stacks of upcoming publications to find the gems we think you'll love to read. To unearth the 21 titles worthy of Discover selection, we pored over ten times as many books and manuscripts. But the harvest we now offer is one in which we have confidence -- confidence that the books we've chosen are those you'll want to read, worthy of your time and effort.
