Meet the Writers
Fans of Carl Hiaasen's witty, wild novels like Nature Girl (and Hoot for the younger set) know that sharp humor is one of the author's key calling cards. In our interview, the multi-talented mystery writer explains his idea that he can't be funny without being angry. "When you write satire in particular, it's got to come from some sort of inner fountain of fury and wrath about something," he laughs. "I think if everything were wonderful, I probably wouldn't be very funny."
