The Aalto is the cover that I purchased but only because I needed a cover and the Aalto was the closest match to my needs. What I really need is something like the Columbus Travel cover available for the B&W Nook. One essential feature is protection on all sides, which only the Aalto currently provides for NookColor. All other covers leave your NookColor potentially exposed to dirt, rain, etc. However, the Aalto zips open only on two sides, so you have to completely remove your NookColor from the Aalto in order to use it. The Columbus Travel zips on three sides, so you can leave your Nook inside, like the trifold and easel styles, plus the Columbus has a zippered pocket for accessories. We need a Columbus-style cover for the NookColor!

One thing of note. It is the only case that covers the nook wearing one of the silicon frames.

For all of you that are unhappy with extra protection inside or the the nook being scratched, buy the silicone frame for 19.95. Yes, your spending more money but the price of this plus the frame is about the same as the most expensive covers they carry. The frame fits perfect in this cover with room to spare. You will not be disappointed. I have a problem with the idea of getting those covers dirty which is why I wanted a silicone frame vs a cover alone. When I'm done I pop it in the this cover and problem solved. With room to put a small note pad and pen which I sometimes will need depending what I'm doing. Pass the word if you happy with this idea many don't know. I like full coverage as 249 dont come easy these days.

I bought this case when I purchased a nook color. Since i mainly use the original nook the nook color was mainly for my children (ages 5, 8, 11) I was not sure they would like the book style cases so I was glad to find this case and it has not disappointed! It has enough padding but not to much to where it feels bulky. The zipper is very sturdy yet easy to use even for my little one. I highly recommend this case if your looking for something other than all the book style cases!

The Aalto cover is a simple but practical cover. But it is not a cover. It is a carry pouch. It is very well made, and provides some protection if you drop it while carrying it. It stretches enough to stuff a small cleaning cloth and earplugs. And the zipper and pouch appears to provide some protection from moisture although I have not tested that yet. Yes, some want-a-be features could include a loop for attaching a strap; a pocket or pockets for carrying pencils, cleaning cloth, earplugs, coins, etc. Straps for bicycle riding. Greater impact protection. A color selection other than BLACK! A sleeve for a cold beverage. Embroidered name. But then it would not be the simple carry pouch it is, but a back pack. Which is why I gave it a five rating. It simply is what it is, a simple, but well made carry pouch.

I'm not sure what Italian neoprene is but it looks and feels like any other neoprene with the ability to protect the Nook from mild impacts and abrasion. The overall thickness of the case is such that it matches the (book like) covers, which means that you can slot two Nooks inside of the case. While the thickness of the neoprene itself is sufficient to protect the Nook from anything but a fall on a hard surface, the zipper is metal and there is no internal protection flap to protect the Nook from the zipper. I decided to keep this case, but I'm afraid that the zipper will eventually damage the finish on the Nook.

The touch and protection for Aalto COver is magnificent.
Easy to travel with ,for you can store a set of papers with your Nook-color at ease.

I bought this bc people were saying its the only case that fits with a silicone frame. Dont know if its just mine, but it is a tight fit. Im afraid when I open the zipper its gonna dig in & scrap the silicone frame. Other then that, its a good case & worth the price. Just wish it was a tad bit bigger.

I wanted something to keep my Nook in while I wasn't using it to protect it somewhat. Like one of the previous reviewers, I also bought a silicon frame. Nook with frame fits into the cover fine. Yes, the other covers look nicer and give the appearance of a book or journal, but I was concerned because there did not appear to be anything to hold the Nook in place and they don't seem very substantial. Granted none of the covers are. It would be nice if BN would sell a cover with some more padding in it to protect the screen. I will say that the description of the the cover was a turn off though. Italian neoprene? Must be from the same manufacturers as Corinthian leather.

I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what kind of a cover I wanted for my Nook Color. This one has been perfect. It fits very well and I feel the Nook is safe inside it. I have dogs and cats (and their accompanying excess of hair and dander) and this case keeps all of that away from my Nook Color. It's well worth it.

Honestly I saw allot of covers, some hard, some leathery and other shells. But when I tell you that this case is extremely durable and looks great, I mean it. Other reviews here say things about the zipper not being lined and therefore your Nook is at risk for scratches but not true, I'm not worried about this case getting damaged or causing damage to my device, I'm super happy with it and would recommend for anyone who owns a Nook and likes it safe.

I like to use my Tablet with my hands. I wanted a protective case for carrying. I like the heavy duty zipper, which should hold up a long time.
This works fair, but be advised it is a soft case. You have to be sure not to hit the screen side with anything.
I worried about this for a while, and cut a sheet of plastic to fit the inside for the screen.
This case should come with such a shield for the screen.

Pros: inexpensive, looks good, provides adequate protection from minor bumps & scratches.
Cons: fits loose, no accessory pocket, very thin padding & doesn't have any rigid armor to protect screen from sharp knocks, the packaging it comes in is just ridiculously overblown - i'm convinced more was spent on packaging the bag than on the actual bag. if you are concerned with "being green" avoid this like the plague! i bought this mail order - if i would have seen it in the store, i DEFINITELY wouldn't have bought it.

This little case is very easy to use and offers great protection for the NOOKcolor. I love mine and use it daily. It's very classy with the NOOK logo on the front of it and it is well made.

I use this case with the silicone frame. Great combination of protection and comfort. The silicone frame make the nook a lot more comfortable to hold. I much prefer this combo to the expensive leather cover I purchaed.

The pouch came with a flexible white panel. I don't think that this panel was soley for packaging the pouch. It fits well in side the pouch with the Nook and provides a good amount of protection for the screen. If you haven't thrown it away with the packaging, you might want to try it. I do not have a silicone frame on my Nook so I do not know how tight it will be with the frame.

My son is in the National Guard and has to put is duffle on a truck where he wanted to be sure his NOOK was protected. So, the first thing he got was the hard shell. The first and most obvious problem was that the screen still needed protection. This was the ONLY cover I could find that he would be able to put his NOOK into with the hard shell still on the NOOK. Many reviewers had said this was a fit. Well, it fit, but it is a REALLY TIGHT fit. In less than a month the zipper tab has broken off, likely because the fit is so tight, and the metal pull too weak.

Can anyone tell me if the Nook Color will fit in the case with a cover already on it? I like the cover I have on my Nook but I want some extra protection for when I have it in my purse. Based on the measurements it should but you know how that goes. Thanks for any input!

I bought this Aalto cover for my new Nook Tablet based on another review, and it is great. It fits over the silicon frame I bought, and is just perfect for what I want. It is sturdy but has padded protection all around it and the zipper cannot scratch the nook. I am very pleased!

i was attracted to this case because it looked like it offered good protection and it is one of the only cases that can hold a nook tablet with a silicone cover in it.
When i got it i was angry because it was flimsy and it has no inside support/protection for the screen.
I couldn't get a refund because nothing is physically wrong with it and it isn't badly made it just wouldn't be good for protecting your nook.
I am just going to use it as a nook accessory case for my charger, SD cards and stylist. That is about all it is good for.
So if you are looking for a case for your nook, please don't waste the money on this product. Spend the extra 5-10$ and get something that will protect your nook a little better. Anything is better then this!
