    Bamboo is good

The Bamboo Tornado by Retro 1951 has a nice feel to it, and knowing that bamboo is a renewable resource helps one feel good about the decision to buy this pen. The only drawback is that the pens in the Tornado pen series are chunky, so if you prefer a slim pen, this is not for you. I am happy with this pen and the little Panda bear stamp on it always makes me smile.

Pleased with B&N, not so much with product

Retro 51's company moto is "Life's too short to carry an ugly pen", I think it's also too short to carry a pen that breaks in less than 30 days. I'm very pleased with the B&N ordering process, not so much with the quality of Retro 51. The tip of the pen kept coming loose and finally fell out entirely. This may be my only experience with their product, I think I will stick to the better quality Cross and Parker products.

    Great pen

I've had mine for over a year and love it. It's an excellent writing instrument and it's beautiful. The little panda carving is so cute. I've got another tornado in red, they make great pens.

    Worst pen ever!

This pen broke within about 10 uses. The collar holding in the tip ejected itself while writing and shot the ink across the room. Look elsewhere for a pen.
