Compared to most Kindle covers, this one is thick, relatively heavy and clunky. The "insert your own photo" feature is cool and works very well but that probably adds to the thickness of the cover. The nook can be placed in and out of the cover relatively easily but the two elastic bands that hold it in place seem at risk for breakage because they must be stretched quite a bit to get the nook in or out.

Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged. The cover is very sturdy. Getting ready for the "Holiday Trip" I wasn't worried at all about packing alot of the items on top of my nook. The inside cover is very soft, and adding the extra width to your Nook. You'r hands don't feel as if they are going cramp while ready for extended hours. The front window is very nice as well if you wish to customize a piture that shows you own it. Over all this was a very good purchase when I pre-ordered my Nook.

Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.I received the nook this year as a Christmas gift. I love my e-reader and went out the day after Christmas to brave the traffic and find an affordable cover for my new gadget. Of course, the B&N seller tried to convince me to buy the Kate Spade cover, which I adore. My wallet couldn't take that hit so after checking out my options, I decided to go with this Bronte Cover in Storm. HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: You can remove the picture and put in one of your choice! You wouldn't know that just from looking at this product online. What I liked about the Kate Spade covers were the quotes. Now, I can print my own quote on cardstock paper in color on my home printer, cut it to size, and slip it into the front panel. Affordable & versatile!
I'm happy with how thick the cover is. The side panels feel even better than a high quality hardcover book. The inside of the panels are are soft and cushioned. The nook safely tucks between the two side panels. I feel confident that it's a quality cover that will keep my nook clean and functioning for many years to come!

I Also Recommend:
I'd been searching for the right cover for my Nook ever since getting it a week ago. After reading reviews I decided on the Bronte cover and headed down to my local B&N to get it this morning. But, once I was at the store, I compared the various covers in person and was stuck between the Bronte Cover and the Industriell Easel. Ultimately, I selected the Bronte Cover (not sure why... but I think that I was slightly swayed by the Nook representative that preferred the side opening cover rather than the flip cover). Well, immediately after I put my Nook into the Bronte Cover, I knew that I made the wrong selection! I really LOVE the sleek, clean look of the Nook and this cover took that away with the 2 corner elastic straps at the top and the large "slot" at the bottom. It's a nice & sturdy cover. But, definitely not my style. I plan to exchange it tomorrow for the Industriell Easel as that one holds the Nook using tabs and therefore doesn't take away from the visual aesthetic of the Nook that I love so much. Once I make the exchange I'll add a review of the Industiell Easel too.

This cover is very nice, sturdy, and does the job it should be doing for a reasonable price. I particularly like the front window which allows me to personalize my Nook. If I could wish for one thing to make the design better, it would be for the outside material to made of a durable cloth instead of the paperlike feel it currently has.

The only change I would make is that it would be easier to fold back.

I couldn't spring for a fancy cover, so I went for function and protection of my nook. This provides adequate amounts of both and was affordable once you consider the cost of replacing the nook if it was ruined due to something the cover would prevent. I'm glad I bought it and recommend it to others.

I love the customizable picture in the front, I've added my favorite book quote to mine. The interior is soft and protects my nook. I've seen complaints about the sturdiness of the cover but if has survived well in is my purse, which I take to be a testament to its strength. The cover does add thickness to the nook but it is still thinner than the majority of paperbacks. Having a flip-open cover also makes holding the nook feel just like holding a book. The nook is also easily charged and synced with the cover on so I don't feel the need to remove it from the case often.

Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.I got this cover because I'm vegetarian and this was the only cover at my B&N that wasn't made of leather, but I liked the idea of a picture frame that I could customize. The khaki color of the interior is pretty and compliments the black well, but dirt and dust show up easily on the light color. Also, the stitching on the edges of the cover don't actually hold it together, it's purely ornamental. A weak glue is instead used to keep the cover together, and after a few weeks of use the glue on my cover gave. It was fixed easily with some Super Glue, but I shouldn't have had to repair it. Besides this, I have no problems with the cover. It protects my nook while it's in my backpack, which is why I bought it. Pictures are easy to get in and out of the frame and they accent the otherwise plain cover nicely with your own personal style. I'm pleased overall, even if I had to do some minor repairs.

I ordered this when I ordered my nook. I like it because you can put your own picture in the slot. It fits the nook good enough for it to not fall out. And one thing i worried about was folding the left side behind the nook so while i read the nook i dont have to hold it like a book but it fold behind good enough to not be in the way. I also like that it looks like a book to everyone else.

I have owned other ebook readers before and it is a must to protect your nook. Anything from bumps and spills you don't plan on, it also looks like a journal that you might be carrying with you and easy to store. It feels sturdy and looks good.
My opinion is that it is worth buying, but I think that its a bit pricey - then again, compare it to the designer covers - maybe its a deal.

This is a solid cover for protection of the Nook. I'm a previous Kindle owner an a similar cover of this sort allowed the product to slip in and out jeopardizing its safety. This cover is well made and the personal touch of adding a photo to the front enhances its personal appeal.

In the (ungrammatical) overview, the website description refers twice to a hand-painted dragon. It doesn't show in the picture. Where is it?

Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.I purchased this cover at the same time as my nook and I have been happy with it for several months. I have to go to doctors' appointments a lot, so my nook is always being thrown in my purse to read on-the-go - this cover has held up extremely well and still feels very sturdy. I like that I can bend the front around and it hasn't damaged the spine of the cover at all. I never remove my nook from the cover so the bands are holding up just fine. When we start traveling again I might purchase a cover that completely encases the nook but I would not hesitate to recommend this one to shoppers.
A little side note: I don't use the front for photos - instead, I print out images I like from the internet and slide those in place. (I kept the original photo to create a template from an old greeting card and made it longer so it is easier to remove...I now use this to trace around the images I want to cut out.) Parts of various paintings look fantastic!

When I purchased this cover I thought that it would be great because i could personalize it with my own picture. I never doubted the sturdyness of the cover until today when i had put it in a bag with other things. I took it out and went to turn it on when i realized the screen of the nook had been damaged. I wondered how, and started looking to where the then damage was and it was right under where the picture is. The area where the picture is, is not sturdy at all and can cause damage to the screen. I would advise people to buy one without the picture frame.

-Wipes clean! Spilled Sweet and Sour sauce on it, but it wiped clean leaving no stain.
-Saved my nook from a nasty fall on asphalt.
The Bad:
-Within a week and a half, the lining started to separate from the cover at the anchor points (where the nook is held into the cover.) It's nothing that superglue can't fix.

I was looking for a nice Nook cover for my husband that was not too feminine and this was perfect. He travels a great deal and he hated to bring big bulky books with him. He was able to put a family portrait on the cover and everytime he picks up his Nook, his family would be with him. Loved It!

I really like this cover. It is sturdy, so it will hold up to any kind of wear for a decent amount of time, and it has a window that you can personalize with a photo. I bought this cover when I got my nook, and I do like it. I would give it 5 stars, but it doesn't have an inside pocket in the cover, so it gets 4 stars instead. If it had a pocket on the inside like the leather covers did, I would definitely give it 5 stars.

When I originally purchased my Nook, I purchased the silicone sleeve in pink to go with it and to make sure that my new purchase stayed in great condition. However, once I had received the Nook and cover, I felt that the silicone sleeve left much to be desired. The sleeve didn't really offer a whole lot of protection, and it attracted every dust mite, and piece of hair and lint, that it looked horrible, and my Nook was always looking dirty. So I began searching for a new cover. I got sticker shock on some of the pricing of the covers that were available. I came across the Bronte cover, with the picture window in the front. I absolutely love my new cover. I looks just like a hardcover book, I am able to change out the picture for different looks, and it provides great cover for all of my Nook, including the screen. The only thing I can say bad about the product, is that I wish it had a place to store my light for my Nook, so that when it's not in use, I can still keep it all together. I would reccomend this as a great "book cover" type cover for a Nook, and the price is not as outrageous as some of the "designer" covers, while still having a very nice appearance.

Have had it for about a month now. It protects and looks good. Makes my Nook feel like a book. Plus when I'm reading the cover bends all the way back, which is nice. Can't think of anything I don't like about it.
