The Bella Cover is great and so stylish, I loved having my Nook inside. But when I took my nook out for a battery problem I noticed that the cute blue striped lining had left permanent blue lines on the very edge of my Nook. It really bothers me that my pristine Nook will forever have those blue imprints on the side and bottom edge. If the lining did not leave these imprints this would be a 5 star product.

I am happy with my Bella Library cover for my new Nook. I am a bit leary of the white canvas on the front as I just tuck my Nook in my purse (OK, my sister teased me about wanting a cover for my cover) and I think it may tend to get dirty.
The cover has a slightly thick spine - where the white cover seams with the back red canvas. This makes it a bit bulky if your plan was to bend the cover behind the Nook. I open the cover and hold it as if it were a two sided book so it doesn't bother me.
My itty bitty book light clips on the back cover fine for reading in bed. You will need to angle the light but that is a Nook review, not a cover review.
Overall I'm very pleased with my Canvas Bella Library Cover.

I thought the outside was cute... it's not really my style, but still cute. I was concerned from the start that the canvas material would get dirty fast and even though I did my best to keep it clean its already pretty dirty. And I also had the problem of another reviewer with the blue lines inside transferring blue lines onto my nook. I took my nook out to take the battery out because my nook had froze and i noticed the blue lines. I tried to rub them off but they wouldn't budge. I don't know of any cleaning supplies to use and I don't want to use just anything and risk even more damage to my nook. And since the blue lines transferred so easily without any liquid I'm worried that if I wet the cover trying to clean the dirt on the outside that the whole thing will bleed into each other. Anyone have any ideas?

Very disappointed! Before I even bought my Nook - I had to have this cover! Love the colors and character. Finally bought both. Had the cover 2 weeks and found that it left blue stripes on the bottom of my Nook! Not happy. Plus the cover didn't close straight. For the price I paid for both the Nook and the cover - I wouldn't recommend the Canvas Bella Library cover to house your Nook. Go for something less expensive so you aren't disappointed when you have to purchase a new cover. Blue stripes and crooked closure? Not for $85.

After finally receiving my nook, I visited my local B&N to look at covers. I had always been leaning towards this one, but had read some unfavorable reviews including that the blue strips on the inside bleed onto someones nook. All in all, I liked the fashionable aspect, the way my nook fit in it snuggly without me having to take it out for use, and when the cover is closed the blue strips do not even come into contact with the unit. So I got it, and after weeks of daily use I have no complaints and love it! I carry it in my purse wherever I go and it's stayed nice and clean. Will it last forever, who knows - does anything?

I love this cover because of the cute design, the bright red back and inside and how i can bend the front behind the nook while reading. I do not like the tacky coating on the front (i believe it is to keep it from getting dirty but failed at that job) and how after a month of daily use the corners and edges of the front are visibly ugly dirty. I wish it didn't have that tacky coating so I could have just sprayed it with scotchguard when it came in the mail like i was planning on. I will be posting this on ebay or some other place and buying a different cover that looks better as it ages (leather) instead of worse...

I loved this cover when I saw it online and couldn't wait to get it, so when I drove about a half hour away just to buy it (wasn't available anywhere local), I ignored the fact that it had an "odd" scent to it when I unwrapped it. It's been two weeks and it still has that smell....While I get compliments on the cover, I am concerned when putting it in my purse because it doesn't stay closed and anything can easily fall inside and scratch the screens. So I find myself looking for a new cover - am thinking I may get something from M-Edge - they have really cute practical covers that protect my precious Nook a lot better than this Canvas Bella can.....a little disappointed and certainly not worth what I paid for it.

This is a beautiful cover from Kate Spade. I do recommend scotch guarding this item for those of you who are concerned with the light colored background getting stained. I sprayed mine & everything turned out fine.

I ordered this cover even though it is pricy. The design is nice, fits well and hold the nook tight. However, I don't like the smell. I am still thinking whether I should return it or not. Love, love, love the design...why can't they make it without that nasty smell? I am sensitive to smell, bad smell always triggers my headache.

I bought this (and waited 2 months) and when I opened the box the smell was awful. This is the second day and while it isn't as bad, it is still there. Hopefully it will totally be gone eventually. Other than that, I really bought it for the look not the practicality. I've gotten used to reading with only my nook, now I will get used to reading with more of a 'book feeling'. Price-wise it is a rip-off as are most "brand name" things. But as I said before, I was attracted to the design...would have purchased it without Kate's name.

I want it to last a little longer, so I've sprayed it with fabric Scotch-Gard. I've only sprayed the outside. I am afraid of the navy stripes on the inside after reading the review saying that the blue color had bled on to the Nook :( Kate Spade should be made aware of this!!! If you decide to spray it, use 2 light coats instead of one heavy one. Give it ample time to dry in between spraying. I may still decide to spray the inside, hoping that the Scotch-Gard may actually protect the Nook from the blue color sticking to it. Too much work for such an expensive item!!!!

I pre-ordered this cover right after I ordered my nook & it arrived on Nov. 30, right on time. It is GORGEOUS!!
The only problem is that it's too nice!! (yes, you heard me). I am so afraid of getting it dirty - but it does seem to be holding up very well, & makes me very happy just to see it.
I have nothing to compare to the nook, since this is the first e-reader I have seen - but I am completely happy with my purchase.
It's very easy to use & to review or purchase books. I think it would be nice to have a back-light in it, but does a paper book have that feature?
And yes, I think it should have at least some sort of cover included...
But I was thrilled to go on a trip & not have to worry about running out of reading material!

Picked this one because it is the closet thing on the whole site that looks like the outside of a paperback or even a hardback book with a cover. The Bella cover earns 4.9 stars only because its not perfect, though very very close. I would have liked to see the Kate Spade logo on the spine of the cover because as I see books I always note that there is something written on the spine of a book, and it looks great as well as offer's a smile if it is a good book :-) Yes, in the long run, it doesn't matter much, but, I am a perfectionist and I do given some weight in judging a book by it cover :-)

This is the most dazzling Nook cover available! I love the bright colors and all those enticing books. I have had zero problems with it. (I know some people bend their covers back while reading; I would never dream of doing this. So my cover is in perfect shape; I use my Nook several hours a day.) obsessedreader

The artwork on this cover is beautiful, but the fabric doesn't wear well at all. I am a senior with no children in the house and the only one using my nook, but this cover was dingy enough to need cleaning in less than six months. Spot cleaning produced very poor results and the colors on the edges bled. Given the cost of this cover I expected more.

I got this cover as a part of my Christmas present (which also included a brand new nook), and I couldn't be happier. The cover (a kind of sturdy canvas) adds a nice bit (just a touch) of weight to the nook once it's placed on. I guess I'm so used to the cover of a book that I like that this nook cover can be folded back just like a real book cover. The inside cover is a bright, cheery red, and has an interior spine that is blue and white striped. There's also an interior pocket on the inside of the cover--perfect for tucking away notes! I would definitely recommend this adorable cover for any bookworm who's craving a technological approach to reading.
