If you have a USB plug in your car, you can charge your Nook hd+ with it & don't need an extra car charger.

I am really, REALLY angry with the issues I have had with my Noo

I am really, REALLY angry with the issues I have had with my Nook Color's charger cord. 3 out of 4 times I have gone to the store, I have not been able to get a replacement. I finally bought this particular product for $10 more than what I wanted to spend. I was told in the store that they will no longer be keeping the cords in store and I will have to order online. This was after I went online to order one and they were out of stock. I did the "Pick Me Up" option on the site, where they said they sent an email to the store to hold a cord for me. I even got a confirmation letter that the store was holding a cord in my name and would for 3 days. When I went to pick it up, the lady who helped me had no idea what I was talking about, that she had never even heard of this option. What the h#$@!?! Regardless, I have had wonderful customer service. The lady at the store looked everywhere to see if she could find me a cord. I appreciated the time and effort that she made for me. I have also had great service when I have had any technical issues with my Nook. What you need to work on is your availablility and quality of your products. When you make them really crappy so the public has to keep replacing the parts, shouldn't you have the products available? Just because I'm not buying the newest edition of a product doesn't mean I'm not a valuable customer. I haven't been able to use my Nook for 2 weeks because I haven't been able to get the product. I will NEVER recommend a Nook, even though I love my Nook Color because all you care about is the almighty dollar.

Works as expected. Love the long cord. As others have mentioned, the plug is difficult to remove, but I found that if i twist as I'm pulling, it comes out much easier.

I desperately need a car charger for my Nook Tablet. You DO NOT

I desperately need a car charger for my Nook Tablet. You DO NOT HAVE ONE. Why not? I am extremely disappointed. I would love to give you a rating on a product like this for my Tablet, but since you do not offer a car charger for my Tablet, I cannot do that.

Worst design ever! Do not buy!

This will not last more than a few months. This is our second one.Due to the poorest design ever produced, it is broken again. Barns& Noble will not replace it even though it obviously a design problem. I used to be a fan of the Nook and B&N, but I can't be a fan of anyone that will not back up their own product. If I could I would give this product zero stars, but apparently that is not possible

The plug is so short it makes it almost impossible to remove fro

The plug is so short it makes it almost impossible to remove from the port in my car.  I had to do the same thing as another reviewer and use pliers to remove it from the port..  Then because I used pliers it got all chewed up.  Very unhappy with product with what I paid.

If you don't have a connection in the trunk, put your Nook up front when you charge it. If you need pliers to work this thing you're doing it WRONG!

SO annoyed with the Nook color charger situation. Not only does it break a lot....now I can't replace my charger and cannot use my Nook. Really? Why not just make one charger works for all of the Nook products. Or something. This is horrible customer service and I am very disappointed.

To those who say that any usb car charger will work, you are wrong. I've tried it with the one I have and it doesn't charge my nook hd+. Through research I've found out that it is proprietary and you have to purchase a nook car charger in order to charge it. I am plannn on purchasing this one and am hoping it works for my nook.

An alternative, especially since this is out of stock, is to buy either a USB to car outlet adapter, since the Nook cords all have a USB end, or buy a wall-plug to car outlet adapter and plug the Nook in to charge the same way you would at home.

Just got my nook hd+ today as an early xmas gift. This my third

Just got my nook hd+ today as an early xmas gift. This my third one .had the nook color first then got the tablet last year. Gave the color to my granddaughter for xmas. I never had a problem with any yet. I dont charge my nooks in the car only through the wall outlet b/c i am usually driving if not i dont read very long otherwise.
