I gave this as a gift even though I was eying it for myself for a LONG time, and now I'm definitely going to buy it for myself. The picture does NOT do it justice! The heart is sturdy and just beautiful the leather is soft, and the journal itself is just well made and beautiful! It's a personal, beautiful, and gift that makes the receiver go wow! At least that's what the person said that got it. She loved it and so did it when it came in!

Very nice leather journal! The lock works great, and the pages are wide-ruled. Highly recommend this as a gift!

It's a beautiful diary and the heart-shaped lock is unique. My 13-year-old daughter received it for Christmas but the strap that holds the lock started to break within a week. Possibly this one was an anomaly since the other reviews are favorable. Perhaps B&N will exchange this one for a more sturdy one.

I have been journaling most of my life in anything from scratch pads, to notebooks, to cheap diaries. I ordered this one almost a year ago and I have been nothing short of being very pleased with this Diary! I love the heavy duty lock that keeps prying eyes out and still makes a nice piece to display in my favorite room. I absolutely love it and I about to order a new one.
