    Very Disappointed!

I was so excited to get this cover for my new nook. It felt so soft and looked so nice. Well, it didn't stay that way for long. It got dirty very fast (black marks on inside and out though I've used nook maybe twice) and I can't seem to get it clean no matter what I do. So a new item now looks like I've had it for years not. :( I am very disappointed in this product and would not recommend it to others.

    Pretty Good

I owned the old first-gen Nook and had the similarly colored/same material cover for it and it served me well for about 2 years, so it was an easy choice for me to pick up this one for my new Nook Simple Touch.

I've had it about 3 weeks now, and it seems to be holding up to its' predecessors durability. I fold the front flap back behind while I read, and the spine has become a little crinkled looking but nothing horrible. I haven't had the problem I've seen a lot of people seem to have, with the black from the nook rubbing off onto the cover. The "synthetic leather" is definitely fake, but it has a soft feel and an easy grip for extended reading and wipes off very easily. Not that I would ever put it on the table without checking to see if there was barbeque sauce on it first or anything.

The cover has held up great and it will continue doing so for a long time if it's half as well made as the one for the first-gen Nook. The only reason I ranked it down a star is because it seems ALL of the Nook Simple Touch quote covers have....less than stellar quotes. I looked over all of them and didn't really care for ANY of them, so I made my decision based purely on the color.

Besides the quote not being anywhere near my favorite, it's a good cover.

    PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOVE love love it. It keeps my Nook secure It has NEVER fallen out and it's super easy to clean if you rub ketchup on it (oops). Love the pockets on the inside to, great for holding on to my gift cards. Plus it's the perfect size, it doesn't make your nook all bulky and heavy. It's perfect.

    don't like

Maybe it would be better if it had clips for all four corners. But mine always slips out of the clips.

    It's ok...

The feel of the case is nicer than some of the other "designer" canvas cases, which I really like. When I hold my nook, I flip the front cover to the back and in just two days, the front flap now sags and doesn't like to keep in like with the back flap, so my case looks sad. I'm not sure if this is just something that happens with the nook cases, as this is my first one. I got this specifically because of the pocket sleeves on the inner cover. I thought that I could put papers, etc in the larger sleeve and in the two smaller ones, I had planned to put my B&N card and in one and my library card in the other (for dling library ebooks). Neither slot is large enough to fit either one. The only way to have them fit is sideways, so that the majority sticks out, which has only made them prone to slipping out.

    Very Nice

This cover is nicer than I thought. I read previous reviews and was worried. But the flexible binding makes it easier to fold the cover back, the downside is the binding gets a crinkled look, but that just makes it look like a well read paperback book. The inside cover has two slots for business cards which is nice to hold my gift cards.

I got my Nook and this cover for Christmas last year which was just over 7 months ago now. I take my Nook EVERYWHERE (work, vacations, camping, in my purse, backpack, suitcase, random bags, etc.) It has held up really well. I have dropped it a few times on the tile floor at work and the Nook stayed in the clips in the case and was not damaged. I've only have it turn on in my suitcase once when I had it very overstuffed. There are still no marks on the case, but the corners are showing some wear. My only complaint is that the card slots on the inside are not big enough to fit a card in the direction it looks like it should go. Overall I really like the cover and it seems to have lots of use left in it.

I love this cover! I think if you are careful and take care of your Nook and its cover, then you will not be disappointed by dirt and such. Also, for the reviewer who said the Nook always slips out of the "hooks"--I didn't put mine in correctly at first and the same thing happened to me as well--you really need to push them in and now mine stays put, no problem!

I got my cover at Walmart....chose it for the color AND the quot

I got my cover at Walmart....chose it for the color AND the quote!  I like them both! I have only had it for a couple weeks, but am very happy with it.  Two of us are using it...we NEVER fold back book covers...not even paperbacks, so that will not be a problem for us!  The NOOK is secure in the clips, but you DO have to push hard to get it in there.

I recently received a NST Glowlight from my husband. I had a 1st

I recently received a NST Glowlight from my husband. I had a 1st Ed. before and I never bought a case/cover for it until about a month before my warranty ran out. And it was a cheap case at that. So after recently my brand new Nook I decided I wanted to protect it from the very beginning. I purchased this cover from Walmart and it was only one of three choices. I like the clips but I do wish there were four instead of just two. Also I wish there was some sort of tie to keep the cover closed.

I made one myself by just inserting an adjustable bra strap at the top and bottom to the right side. It works great and it would be a cheap addition for those who do not wish to spend a lot of money or cause any damage to the cover. Make sure to use the ones with the metal ends though as the plastic will break and what you need is to hook it through and slightly bend the metal to get it into position.

This should also prevent the spine from wrinkling as much as I have seen reported. Hope this helps other purchasers to have a little peace of mind about the flaws in the case.

I have had this cover for almost 6 months and it has held up really well. The binding has gotten a little crinkle in it from flipping the front cover back when I read. It isn't bad, however, and I am a daily reader. Love this cover. I only wish the quote was different. I have had people ask about the quote and I just tell them that I picked it for the color and not the quote.
