Ergonomic Lap Desk with Wrist Pads

This lap desk is a must have!

I purchased thia desk with the sole purpose of a steady surface for Christmas card writing. It was very comfortable on the lap and was a great writing surface. It did not become a burden resting on your lap after use for a long period of time. The handle makes it easy to carry from place to place.

I would hightly recommend this lap desk.

Absolutely Fabulous!

A couple of weeks ago I decided to upgrade my lap desk - my previous lap desk had cracked under the weight of my laptop and cooling pad. I obviously needed something more durable as well as a lap desk that would look great and match my home decor! I went ahead and perused the selections from B&N and loved the color, the sturdy look as well as the wrist pads which were a huge selling point. Well, I could not have asked for me. This lap desk is strong, it is also very wide and I have space for my laptop (which is very wide; almost 16" across), as well as the cooling pad I keep under it and even a great amount of space for my mouse on the side, and remotes! It looks beautiful and I have gotten a lot f compliments on it.

Also, the wrist pads are a HUGE help... as someone who uses my lap desk a lot, I definitely needed something comfortable and perfectly sized to fit under my wrist - this does the job and then some! I would even go as far to say that the wrist pads would help prevent anyone from getting tendonitis in their wrists and hands! And absolutely fabulous gift that I would recommend for anyone as a MUST HAVE laptop accessory and it would make a fabulous present! Great value for a great product!

Looks Great, Awkward to Use

I have a 15" laptop and needed a lapdesk. After reading other reviews about plastic lapdesks that warp, I purchased this one since it seemed it would be the best investment over time. Unfortunately, it was awkward to use for three reasons: 1) the pillow is flat and my laptop was almost at a downward angle on my lap 2) the wrist pads were too high and too stiff and at unusual angle to use, and 3) the wood was super slick which caused the mouse to slide when not in use. This is a very sturdy and well-built lapdesk, and the wood is very nice, but it just didn't work well as a laptop desk for me. But everyone else liked it - so just make sure you know what is important to you as a lapdesk.

I exchanged the wooden lapdesk for the black and gray one which is much more lightweight, has a flexible bean bag wrist pad, and the lap pillow is angled so it is higher where it rests on my knees & elevates my laptop. The mouse pad section is a faux suede which keeps the mouse in place. The lapdesk is plastic so I hope it doesn't warp over time, but I don't use it for long periods so I hope it works out well for me - and it is half the price of the wood lapdesk.

Ergonomic comfort!

I had been searching for the perfect lap desk and had tried out quite a few...no alot of lap desks. I was about to give up when I saw this lap desk at my local B&N. After using it for the first time I knew I had found perfection! The soft pillow on the underside is very comfortable and assists in angling the lap desk to whatever position desired. I really like the wrist pads and the horizontal wooden book stop in-between the wrist pads. The carrying handle cutout is perfect as well. I also used it to hold my portable DVD player on a recent driving venture and my husband used it for his laptop. Great item, great price; I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Very nice

I had asked for a lap desk with the thermal pillow on the bottom but could not find one in time for XMas 09. I thought I was settling for this one. But it contours nicely, has extra space on each side of the laptop, and has a handy handle. Very nice.

Just received the lap desk in the mail yesterday. The packaging

Just received the lap desk in the mail yesterday. The packaging is good and secure. Tried using the lap desk several times for writing and reading. It is worth the money and provides great comfort. I will order from Barnes and Noble again.

LOVE it!

This is exactly what I needed. I am pretty picky about things, and I have been so pleased with this! The bottom cushion area is just right- not too hard, not too soft.
The finish is beautiful. It fits good and the pads are a nice addition!

Love it!

I liked my lap desk so much that I bought a second one for our vacation home. The cushion keeps your legs from getting hot. The wrist pads are comfortable. Very nice hardwood surface - doesn't look cheap.

Great lap desk!

I bought this lap desk after searching and searching for the perfect one. It is a great size and very nice quality. You can use it to write letters on or can use it for your laptop. I use mine a lot to make grocery lists and to keep my laptop from overheating. I believe the pad is removable and can be washed, although I have not had the need to do so as of yet. I have three small kids and it is very durable - which comes in very handy! I would recommend this lap desk to anyone who is looking for a good quality, comfortable, versatile lap desk!!!

Ergonomic Lap Desk with Wrist Pads

My husband bought this awesome lap desk for me as a gift and I really love it. I use it all the time for when I am just checking my emails or working. The kids even use it when playing games and doing home work.

Beautiful Lap Desk

This is a beautiful lap desk. It's classy yet practical. I have a fairly large laptop and it fit on there just fine with enough room for moving the mouse around on the side. It's very comfortable to use and I like that it has a handle.

Great Purchase

This was a gift for a family member. He is thoroughly enjoying the comfort of the Lap Desk.

Works Great with my 16" laptop

I have a 16" HP laptop that I use this with and it works great. I don't have it sliding off my lap. It is plenty wide so there is plenty of room on either side of it. The wood veneer is a nice maroon color. There is a velcro attached bean bag on the bottom so that the lap desk sits comfortable on my lap and is stable.

FYI, I use it when I have my laptop on DirecTV online watching the RedZone channel and I am watching a football game on the LCD HDTV.
