    more from this reviewer

Don't listen to the other guy

The other reviewer doesn't realize it's AN EMERGENCY radio, not a casual listen to music radio. This product is perfect for emergencies and the USB charging supplies + the solar power charging is great!

    Gotta Love This...

I got one for me and LOVE IT!. Then got one for each member of my family for Christmas and one for my car. I haven't yet had to crank it. I just keep it on my window sill and it stays powered up. It cranks easy. The volume is great, the channel choices are complete and the weather bands are easy to find and use. The flashlight has been great in a pinch, also. Bright LED's. It packs a big punch for a little package. Durable. Has been dropped several times by my 5 yr old

This Thing is Definitely Worth the Money

The first reviewer is probably right about some of his criticisms, but it sounds like he needs to go buy a professional emergency radio.

This thing seems great for hiking, camping, picnics etc. If in populated areas the radio comes in crystal clear -- just perfect. I'm in a city, but the stations are probably between 5 and 20 miles from me. Haven't gotten a chance to take it out in the country yet but if it works really well in the city, I would think it would do as well as anything else within its price range.

First of all, this thing can hold a decent charge. Figured I'd have to crank every 10 minutes. It seems like it can probably go an hour without a charge depending on the volume level. The sound gets very loud. Im surprised by the quality of such a small speaker. The light is not bad -- not extremely bright, but definitely good enough to get around in the dark with. The dials work well. Its a great size -- fits in your hand well. It doesn't weigh a lot, but doesn't feel cheap either. Haven't tried to charge a phone yet.

My only criticism is that the crank seems a little weak. For a moving part, I could stand to have it made with stronger plastic. Not happy about that, but I guess I'll just have to be careful when turning the crank...

Overall, this radio is really worth the money. Its a versatile little gadget, it works well and its fun to use. For 30 bucks, I'm very happy with my purchase.

    I love this little radio!

It is smaller than I thought it would be when I ordered it, but I am not disappointed by that. It's the perfect size for what I want. The crank is easy to use and I know this radio/light will come in handy for many years.

    radio not worth the money

The radio has very poor reception basicly non-existant . Unless you are on top of the tower you cannot receive anything but static. Furthest statio I could receive was 5 miles away. When used in a vehicle with a electric or gas motor only static received. When a station is received the audio quality is very poor. Do not recommend for anyone. Wish I had not purchased.
