More a conversation piece than a truly practical ballpoint pen but it is well constructed with a rubber like coating for grip and a spring operated clip. At just over four inches in length it may be too short for some people. Squeezing the pen extends or retracts the ballpoint but occasionally the point has retracted while writing.
I might have rated it higher had I found a refill a year ago when I received this pen as a gift! As it was, mine was not supplied with a refill and when it ran out B&N could not supply one or give me any information for buying one elsewhere. Searching the web at the time was no help so it sat idly on my desk for about a year.
Recently I returned to B&N but still found no refills or information however I did find that there were more vendors selling this pen and one said that it can use a 'Schmidt Parker style refill' so I have just ordered Schmidt P900 refills that I hope will resurrect this quirky little pen.
Overview
Coles of London presents this stylish ballpoint pen featuring a unique push-and-release mechanism. A flick of the thumb along the side of the pen is all that is needed to open and retract. The hand slips easily around the artful shape, and the compact size makes it easy to carry anywhere.
