    Best ever book light; you have to use it on the "spine" of the book....

    The Blue Spike Light is the best book light I've ever owned. But you must use it over the "spine" of your book,not on the pages or cover. That's why the design of it is so great and easy!     This is my second Blue Spike Light that I've ordered, and not because the first one broke. The first one was misplaced (the box it was in has never been found-5 years ago) while we were moving across the state.
    Over the years I've tried Mighty Bright: terrible and doesn't stay in place, folding book lights: terrible and do not cover the page(s) all the way and have poor lighting, Flex-Neck Clip On: terrible and isn't bright enough and doesn't cover the whole page (s) and several others.

    This book light is a economically priced and you get your worth for the money. Don't bother buying any other book light but this one! Oh, and the light is very easy on the eyes and reduces eye strain.

    LED Blue Spike Light Clip-On Booklight

    This light just does not illuminate enough of the page and it doesn't work well at all on paperback books. Don't waste your money.

    The best little light!!!

    I love this light. It is brite, but not too brite to wake up my husband.
    I have read 5 books now, and its still as brite as when I bought it. I haven't needed to change the batteries yet. I would recommend this to everyone I know and anyone I don't know.

    light does not stay on constantly, it goes on and off

    I changed the batteries, i tried to move everything on the light I could to stop the light from all-of-a-sudden going off. But it still keeps on going off. I would not recommend this light, and if i wasnt so lazy I would be asking for my money back.

    Best book light ever. And I've used many booklights.

    This book light is the best I've ever used. I am perparing to purchase my third light. I lost my first one travelling and I've decided to get an extra so it's always handy.
    So let's do a complete review:
    1. It is bright enough to light both pages of a hardcover novel, more than enough for a paperback.
    2. It is light weight which is very important when travelling. It is slim and only requires a AAA battery.
    3. The clip is remarkable in it's simplicity and usability. You slide it over the spine of the book and you can turn pages withought having to move the light.
    4. The neck is long enough for it's stated purpose and is nice and flexible making it easy to use with books of different sizes.
    5. The power switch is easily accesible at the head and the lights are LED so they don't get hot and you won't burn yourself turning it on and off.
    So I'm giving this light 5 stars for doing it's job without being clunky heavy or expensive.

    small & lightweight & AAA battery powered

    I have a number of booklights, but this is my favorite. The light weight and position on the spine prevent the dreaded folding down of the side of the book holding the light.

    One other reviewer commented that the light flickered. Mine did that if I did not have the battery compartment closed correctly. Once closed correctly (and this is easily done, I was just careless), the light does not flicker.

    Love the AAA batteries rather than the more expensive batteries found in many other lights.

    Great light!

    One of the best booklights that I've used. The spike part really stays in the book and the light is bright. I also like that it requires a regular battery.

    Very Disappointed - Purchase the "Mighty Bright Black Ultraflex 2 LED Booklight" instead. It is worth the money. This light is worth very little.

    I had previously purchased the "Mighty Bright Black Ultraflex 2 LED Booklight" which is excellent. The light is sturdy and very bright. I also purchased the "Mighty Bright Blue Ultraflex LED Booklight". It is nice but not as bright as the first light. I planned on buying more lights for gifts and myself so I ordered 4 of the "2 LED Spike Light Clip-On Booklights" thinking I was getting more powerful lights since they have 2 LEDs. It turns out that not all LEDs are the same strength. The "2 LED Spike Light Clip-On Booklights" are very dim, much dimmer than even the "Mighty Bright Blue Ultraflex LED Booklight" that has only one LED. They are also cheaply made and very inconvenient. I do not even know what to do with them. I am very disappointed.
