As any art supply, it is necessary to try out a variety of materials to find what works best for you. This is perhaps not the best paper for repeated pencil drawing and erasing, as the other reviewer pointed out. I disagree that it is smooth. Moleskine paper is smooth. This has a bit of a tooth that will catch on graphite and may cause problems for people using mechanical pencils in particular I think. I have used a wide variety of materials in mine, and recently bought a second one when the first one filled up. It is a great sketchbook to toss in a bag and carry around with you. The binding is secure and the paper cover can take plenty of wear and has room to expand as you fill the pages, so I would imagine collage would work well in it though it is not my media. Was this review helpful? So, I got this to be my on the go sketch book. And its very nice, but not for sketching. The paper is thin and doesn't erase well. Its also very smooth paper. The book its self is a paper back book. It is very nice, and I do really like it just not for sketching. But its great and I am happy with it.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
