i have never been so glad to find this lapdesk. it's exactly what i wanted and neeeded. being diabled i have a hard time finding ways to do some of the simple things like reading, writing, in a comfortable possition when i sit in bed or on the couch. a tray doesn't always fit the bill. but this lapdesk is perfect for all types of things. and it's easy to carry with me in thw car which is great as well. b&n hasn't done me wrong yet which is why i keep coming back.

While the price was definitely right, the product was poorly designed. I saw this in the store, and was pleased with the size and cost. After 1 day of usage, it was already warped from the heat of the laptop.

I wanted to get this for my husband's laptop because it was larger than what he had and there were a lot of good reviews from users.
Unfortunately he hates it because it is not sturdy and won't lay flat. In addition, the laptop slides around. So instead of a hero, it's a zero.
I looked back at the good reviews, and they were mostly about usage by kids.

Everything seemed fine with my lapdesk until I opened it and realized that the board itself was anything but flat. It had a huge bulge in the middle, making it impossible to write straight. I was very disappointed with my purchase, and wished I could return it to receive a refund.

Had I known how much I would enjoy this lapdesk, I'd have bought one much, much sooner! The size of the surface area is perfect for oversized books and newspapers and it is nice and light-weight. The padded bottom cushion has the perfect amount of stuffing (which feels like a bean-bag chair filling material) for stability. I use the lapdesk for doing crossword puzzles (my hobby) and for doodling to pass the time. Most recently, I used the lapdesk to address and stuff shower invitations from the comfort of my cozy reading chair! I would recommend this product to crafters, students, people on bed-rest, EVERYONE! I will be buying one for my college-bound nephew, for sure!

Great in concept but not reality. The material that makes up the back, padded part of the desk is too thin and rips easily at the 'buttons'. Hundreds of styrofoam balls escaped and clung to everything in my car.

It worked well for the laptop computer. My grandson also used it for reading, writing, and playing games. However, we left it in the back window of the car, and it warped and is now useless. We were disappointed that this would happen so quickly.

This product has turned a dreaded time of day(homework time) into a much more streamlined process. Now there is no fighting over the one desk in the house, and each child can be in a separate space or in their room.

Read the reviews....Great item! As for computer usage, could not find the product online but the stores carry a computer lapdesk. It also has a wrist rest not the clip as shown on this item. Different material on top for the heat protection. You might want to call a store to get the ISBN number, if you want to order online.

Largest lap desk I could find and only one big enough for my needs. Very comfortable. The pillow easily molds to my lap in any position, while others I've tried were too stiff. Allows me to use my laptop on my lap without blocking the laptop's cooling fans. I've had my lapdesk for about a year now and I've had no problems. Great price, too.

We got one for ourselves and then gave another two to family members for reading and writing letters. As noted by a previous reviewer, it may not the be best choice for a hot laptop, since it is plastic.

I like this. I usually write letters in bed, and it has a great way of balancing on my lap or crossed legs. The pen-wells are useful, and so is the clip for when I feel the need to write outside. I would have liked to have a smaller version of this, but it also doubles as a laptop-desk. All in all, it fits its intended functions to a T and is quite comfortable. The only qualm is that it's a bit expensive for being such a light and plastic item. Well done.

This simple black lap desk is very useful. It can be used for paperwork, holding a laptop, or even eating a meal. The clip holds down papers while you work and is large enough to hold something in place when tilted upright. The size of the desk is perfect because it is large enough to work on and flat enough to store on a shelf. Having a pencil holder is great too, because pens and pencils can be misplaced if they are rolling around. The cushion is fastened onto the desk so that there is just the right amount of flexibility to be comfortable. This lap desk is a great gift for all ages.

The fact that this lapdesk is mobile and includes a clip, it works very nicely for the daughter, whom uses it every day for her homework and arts and crafts. She likes it very much. If you have children that like to do arts and crafts, drawing, coloring and have a desire to be mobile - this is for you. It's even come in handy for sitting on the patio furniture to read or write - while watching over the activity in the swimming pool.

It is a little chintzy, but for the price I guess that is what you would expect. It totally does the job though - and is useful for working/reading, and laptops.

After being in the hospital for several weeks I had a VERY long rehabilitation to look forward to. Since August I have been recooperating from surgery and my son bought this laptop desk for me. Without it I could not read or write - I had 2 major surgeries on my abdomen in three days and was not able to lift anything, literally, not even a pillow. Because of the laptop desk I was able to have a book proped in front of me so that I could read and after another month of recovery, I was able to do crosswords and write in my journal. I really don't know what I would have done for the last 3 months without this desktop - it literally kept my mind from being bored...I love it and I keep it stored with my crossword puzzle books. Of all the things that were important to me during the last few months of my recovery the laptop desk was in the top three of neccessities. Such a simple thing made such a difference in my life!!! Thank you so much..
