Not the smartest iphone case...but love the appearance

I have been using wallet cases for my iphone for years (mostly JavoEdge varieties). I was looking for one that would last a little longer that looked cool also (read: not plain leather). When I came across this, I was so excited! As an avid reader, it looked perfect. I still love the way it looks, but it's not designed as well as most iphone specific cases. There is no hole over the camera lens, for example, so you have to take the phone all the way out to take a picture. Also the volume buttons are not exposed, altho they are marked with a + and -...usually works OK, but seems like it would be just as easy to leave them open the way the volume on/off is open. Anyway it's durable and I like the appearance...just wish it was a little better designed for an iphone. Oh and I also wish it had a clasp of some sort, or shut magnetically, the way most wallet cases do. Oh well!

I was very excited to order this, as,1,I am a book lover, and 2,I

I was very excited to order this, as,1,I am a book lover, and 2,I thought it was a clever way to conceal that what you are actually carrying is a phone. In practice though, this was probably the least  functioning iPhone case ever. Why in the world didn't they put a simple piece of velcro over the top?
I had lost count of how many times my iPhone slid out of there and fell on the floor or ground. I guess as fashion it may be okay, but as far as function, this is the worst. The primary function for a case is to protect the phone. This case is actually hazardous to your phone, because anytime that case is not in an upright position, that phone is sliding out of there because there is nothing to hold it in! Who thought of this awful design? After my phone dropping about ten times,I threw the case in a drawers I couldn't bring myself to throw it away after spending so much money on it. Very poor design. I would not recommend it.

Great Case! I highly recommend it.

Great quality, leather feels amazing, well built and very functional. It also looks good and is holding up well.
Only downside is that you have to slide the phone up to snap a picture, but that's minor unless you take a lot of pictures.
