I'm a physics PhD student and take notes that I want to be able to revisit throughout my career. These gorgeous journals work perfectly for me - unlined, so I can draw graphs and take notes and draw arrows and write equations - and gorgeous, so I can always keep them displayed on a shelf for easy reference. I picked these partly for their old-school quality feel, partly for the unlined pages, and partly because the tie means fewer parts to break. I like knowing that if the string comes undone I can just re-sew it. But after using about 8 of these for my classes every day for the last couple years, I've not had a single loose thread or broken tie, even after hastily stuffing these into my messenger bag between classes all the time. Highly recommend!!

This is a great journal for anyone who enjoys camping, hiking or everyday adventure. I'm a huge Indiana Jones fan and I thought to myself 'If Indy was looking to buy a journal, I'm sure he would think about getting this one'.

I bought this for a close friend as a birthday present. He is a writer and I thought this journal would inspire him to write a love story that he wants to write. He loved it and he said it was a wonderful present. I liked the journal and its apperance its just so professional and elegant. I would recommend it to anyone.

I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I went into the store looking for the small one and ended up buying the large. The paper is wonderful to write on and the pages do a wonderful job of staying down. It's the best journal I've ever owned. I would recommend it to anyone. The beauty of the journal is, alone, enough to inspire anyone to write.

While the leather is roughly cut and the paper may not be expensive handmade paper, this thing is worth WELL over what the selling price is. Rough, rugged, long-lasting, simple but elegant style, great size, and thick paper perfect for wet media.... this thing is a hell of a sketchbook/notebook for only $16. I have been looking for a simple sketchbook like this for ages and have yet to find one under $50.

I was a bit skeptical upon purchasing this journal. I was hoping to find a lined version. However, upon reciept of it, I found that it was in reality what I really needed. I write my journal as a way to preserve the information about my life and our times for my future generations, as not much information on my heritage is not availble, and I don't want that to happen to my children, grandchildren, etc. This journal will provide an excellent, elegant heirloom that I will be proud to leave for my children. I already plan to purchase two more, one for each of my brothers!

I'm an actor and Classical studies archeologist. When it comes to my Classical studies career, i do research and write them down on my journal, also including traveling and drawing maps.
As an actor, i write down my biography of beginning career of acting to the present world. Its worth it. Great quality for excellent price! I have seven of these now!

Great journal for awesome price! Im using the journal as a sketchbook and it seems to work very well. The tie to the journal looks to may rip or break very easy if i dont take real care it. Great pages! Thick! No lines! Recommend to anyone:D

excellent if you don't need lined paper and enjoy inserting items in between pages (as the journal allows for plenty of expansion).

I would definitely recommend this journal to any of my friends. Its WONDERFUL!!!! I've had it for only a day and have used about 5 pages, in fact I liked it so much I got the smaller version in black for a pocket notebook.
This journal is an amazing inspiration for writing, I am an amateur writer and this journal just makes you feel like your back in time. It made with amazing quality! at first i didn't think i was going to like the way the pages are split up into 4 different parts but after a while i got used to it and it's still great. and i love that there are no lines. its great!!! so if i wanna sketch something Im thinking of nothings in the way.....
If your looking for a good journal you can stop right now! you've found what you need
and inexpensive too!

I USE IT AS PERSONNAL DAILY, ALSO SOMETHING SPEICAL AS REMEMBENCE AS THINGS THAT I WANT TO KEEP IN JOURNAL. I LOVE THAT JOURNAL! NO LINES! DIFFERENT MATERIALS THAT I CAN USE BLACK MARKER AS I AM DEAFBLIND MYSELF.
