Bought this as a "Student of the Month" gift for one of my students who enjoys sketching. He loves the pencils and says that they are incredibly long-lasting.

Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.The charcoal must be very soft or fragile or something - they are a bit dull when unpackaged, so I was proceeding to sharpen one of them, but it stayed dull; as soon as it got at most half of the length it was originally the thing crumbled. I tried numerous sharpeners, big ones and electronic ones - I have yet to try it with my mom's standard electronic pencil sharpener, and I haven't tried any of the other pencils due to fear of them crumbling and becoming useless as well.

The charcoal pencils work very well. The shipping was very quick AND cheap. Their is always sales so I enjoy shopping at Bn.com for books and such.
