    Ok, I spent several days looking at all the lap desks online. Then I went to my local B&N and tried them.
    Most were very flimsy and very small.. The only ones that had decent cushions were the Ergonomic airtrends models. They were large enough for a small mouse, had a wrist rest on either side, and had a rail at the bottom to keep the pen from rolling off. I also noticed the pad was attached to the back with velcro, so it can be removed for cleaning. I bought the model with the light, which is very bright. The light is usb, and the lap desk has a battery case on the bottom with an on off switch if you want to power it with batteries. They even put a velcro pouch on the cushion to hold the light. The cushion is very comfortable as well. The desk looks great, and although it wasn't $20, it was way better than the crap that was selling for $20. I consider my money well spent. Thanks B&N!

    I just spent several days visiting relatives. I used their Ergonomic Lap Desk with LED Light several hours each day while visiting. I would be up long before them and would sit in the den in front of the fire place and use my computer. I must confess my computer has a lighted keyboard so I used the light infrequently, I found the desk comfortable on my legs, the space ample even though I disable the touchpad and use a mouse. The wrist pads are comfortable and a nice touch. I arrived back home yesterday. I just visited my local B&N store today and purchased one for myself.

    The ratings seem a little "fishy" to me. The one rating with comments is five stars. There are fourteen ratings with one or two stars and no comments, all by Anonymous. It makes me think the anonymous reviews might all be by one dissatisfied individual. I think the lap desk is great!

    No demensions given in the product description so I didn't buy it.  For all I know it's 2 inches by six inches and that just won't do.
