My sister, our girlfriend and I planned a trip to Ireland in March. I was looking for a fun way to capture our memories and this Celtic journal was ideal! We all three took notes daily as we wandered through our Irish adventures. This worked in so many ways -- it was a great size for traveling, it has a nifty pocket to hold postcards, receipts, etc. and it also was a symbol of our trip with the Celtic theme. We will have this handy now whenever we want to look back and find ourselves there again in memory. I bought one for myself and one for each of my fellow travelers -- it was a great way to end each day by taking a few minutes to log the adventures, fun, laughter and spirit of each day. I would definitely recommend this journal to any traveler! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

I bought this as a gift for a friend who keeps a journal. I also keep one, so I looked for features I like: Good-looking, small enough to keep in your handbag, lined pages, and elastic to mark pages or keep the journal closed. This journal met all those criteria, plus it had a pocket in the back. My friend has an Irish last name, so the Celtic themed design of the cover was a real hit, as were the lined pages. So I would highly recommend this journal. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

I purchased this journal for my teenage son. He had been involved in a car accident (he wasn't driving) and the experience gave him a taste for just how fragile life is. He asked me to get him a journal, because he wanted there to be something of him written, something that had a sense of permanence.
Finding a journal suitable for a teen boy was daunting- there were lots of flowery options out there! And journals that seemed to be more for a "tween". This one worked very well though and suited him. As a bonus, green is even his favorite color.
The journal is well made with quality paper. And it has given my son a place to ponder things.
