    The best Bookstand ever!

I use this for cookbooks, novels, paperbacks, anything. It folds flat so it is very compact. Great item.

    Very clumsy . . .

I purchased the Zelco Hands Free Book Stand because I had shoulder surgery and still have a hard time holding a book. This book stand is inadequate as the two little bars that hold the pages back aren't strong enough and the books collapses, needing constant rearranging. I finally gave up. In addition, this gadget should sell for a lot less money.

    Awful and Flimsy!

I wanted this bookstand to use for my law school books. This thing is way too light to use on any of those books. So, I tried a book a little bigger than a novel and the book is tilting sideways. The back, which is supposed to hold the book up, is really weak and falls down. Overall, this is not worth the price and it really doesn't hold ANY of my books up (even the non-law books)!

This book stand is worth a look

I don't know why I waited so long to get this. I love the way it folds down flat when not in use. I like that it is so adjustable to thickness of books. So far no complaints.

    This is the best bookstand!
I love this item. I don't understand why people would say a steel bookstand is flimsy. It holds all types of books - even heavy cookbooks or textbooks. I use it for everything (and everywhere). It is a great product - I would highly recommend it!

I find this hands free book stand to work quite well whether I set it on a table while eating or in bed on my lap. I initially only wanted it use it for my Nook (First Edition) & my Nook Tablet but decided to give it a try with all sizes of books. And I now am amazed at all the negative comments. I find that I use it all the time with many sizes of books with ease. The only feature in need of revampjing is the tab that inserts into the slots for vertical adjustment. I would prefer a little curve on the bottom of the tab to more securely hold the back in place.

    Bought 3!!!

I first purchased this for my 6th-grade daughter who had tremendous amount of homework over the year and needed to look in the textbook and work on her laptop at the same time. Not only did it save much space but it was easier for her to work. Later on I left this on our breakfast nook and found my daughter reading some useful books I left in the kitchen regarding nutrition and health instead of reading every words on the cereal box over and over! Now, I am using it when I read books. For me, it worked perfectly well on hardbacks as well as paperbacks. Only if the book is new, it will not be so easy, but with the adjustable degrees, it is very useful. I also like the fact that it's not too bulky . It would be ideal for travel as well. Now I have one upstairs and one downstairs and recently purchased another for my father.
