    Aladine's calligraphy inks are very good. I use some of these inks, and I like them very much. One must never use these inks in fountain pens, nor on glass dip pens "as I've discovered", but the results using English steel nibs, offered by Aladine, like the pen holders for them, are very nice. It's always a good idea to run the nibs under cool water "never hot" to get the remaining ink off the the nibs before it dries. Some of these kinds of inks dry to a very hard, almost nail polish like, finish.

    pretty

    I love this ink! I'm going to use it to address my wedding invitations. The colour comes out a little brighter than shown in this picture, and the consistency reminds me of gel pen ink. It wrote very easily, and though it took a minute to dry, it didn't "run" or just sit on the paper indefinitely without being absorbed. I often find, when using old-school nib pen and ink, that the ink is very liquid, like water. But that was not the case here. The ink itself dried well, and I did not have to experiment with different paper or tips. Because of its thicker consistency, the ink clung to the nib and flowed very smoothly.

    A very pretty light blue color; ink is nice and fluid which makes it nice to use.

    Great product.

    I purchased this as a gift for my daughter recently. Although really pretty when on paper, it's not great on couch upholstry. =) She did have problems opening the lid after ink had dried around the lip. It took some muscle and a prayer that it didn't end up all over me when it finally gave.
